Chapter 3 - Introduction to nTouch 180

Description

nTouch 180 is a touch screen control panel for controlling MediaMatrix systems. The device

runs an embedded version of NWare Kiosk and allows the user to control a project designed in

NWare.

In addition to this functionality, nTouch 180 runs ControlManager application software.

ControlManager provides a platform for MediaMatrix control systems. It can be custom

configured to monitor and control multiple NWare projects, consisting of NIONs, CABs,

amplifiers, and other devices. Additionally, it can also monitor and control 3rd party devices

using SNMP and execute Python scripts.

nTouch 180 supports RATC and PASHA protocols, allowing you to interact with an NWare

project via an Ethernet or serial connection.

nTouch 180 provides several mounting options, including surface, panel, flush and general

VESA mounting.

Notes:

 nTouch 180 units host projects for control and monitoring, but do not have any DSP

capability.

 Using all the capabilities of nTouch 180 requires a firm understanding of NWare, SNMP

and Python scripting.
